I draw from life to journal experiences of being alive. The ritual of doing so is a beating heart reinforcing my vocation as an artist by day. In 2025 I completed 424 drawings of four different sizes ranging from 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” to 9 ¼” x  7 ½”. Each piece is unique as the who, what, when and where they take reference to. These subjects compose the names of my drawings. To record my perception of a moment I only draw what is visible and refrain from including anything out of memory. I hold paper at eye-level, just within my peripheral view of the observational reference.

My drawing paper is hand cut and hole punched to transfer into handmade sketchbooks. Book arts bridges my drawing practice and background as a fine art fabricator. I’ve repurposed scrap polyurethane resin into custom sketchbook slabs by saw, drill, sander, and polisher.
